A garage is no longer just a place to park. For many Ontario homeowners it is a workshop, a gym, a showroom for a car collection or simply the first room you walk into every day. Luxury garage flooring turns bare, dusty concrete into a finished space that looks deliberate and stands up to winter.
Here are the four premium garage floor options we install most often, and how to choose between them.
1. Full broadcast flake flooring
The most popular premium garage floor in Ontario. Vinyl flakes are broadcast to full coverage into a base coat and sealed with a UV-stable polyaspartic topcoat.
- Best for: everyday garages that still need to look high-end.
- Why it works here: the textured surface adds grip for wet winter boots and hides salt residue, dust and tire marks.
- Look: dozens of blends, from subtle greys to high-contrast granite effects.

2. Metallic epoxy
Pigmented metallic epoxy is poured and manipulated so the colours flow and settle into a one-of-a-kind, marble-like floor with real depth.
- Best for: showcase garages, car collections and heated spaces where the floor is part of the design.
- Trade-off: a smooth, glossy finish shows dust and scratches more than flake, so it suits garages with lighter daily use.

3. Quartz broadcast
Coloured quartz aggregate is broadcast into resin for a dense, textured and extremely hard-wearing surface.
- Best for: garages that double as workshops or wash areas, and anywhere slip resistance matters most.
- Trade-off: the coarser texture takes a little more effort to clean.

4. Polished concrete
The slab itself is ground, densified and polished to a satin or high-gloss finish. Nothing sits on top, so nothing can peel.
- Best for: modern homes with a sound, fairly flat slab.
- Trade-off: existing cracks and damage remain visible.

What matters more than the finish
Every luxury garage floor fails the same way if preparation is wrong. In Ontario, freeze-thaw cycles, road salt and meltwater put the bond under constant stress. That is why a proper installation always includes:
- mechanical diamond grinding — never acid etching;
- crack and salt-damage repair before coating;
- moisture testing of the slab;
- a UV-stable, hot-tire-resistant topcoat.
How to choose
Daily driver and busy family garage — flake. Collector car or showroom — metallic. Workshop, wash bay or maximum grip — quartz. Minimalist design on a good slab — polished concrete.
