Mississauga Commercial Indoor Flake Flooring - Stage 2

Epoxy Boss Inc. was engaged by Ravin Commercial Design and Build Inc. for a large commercial interior flooring scope at 2885 Argentia Road in Mississauga, Ontario. Stage 2 focused on Units 5 and 6 and included extensive coating removal, concrete preparation, crack repair, and full-broadcast indoor flake flooring. The project addresses a combination of existing floor conditions and new commercial-use requirements.
Before a durable resinous system can be installed, old coatings, glue, and tiling mortar must be removed from the affected concrete. Epoxy Boss used PCD diamond tooling for this removal work, exposing a cleaner and more suitable substrate for the next stages of preparation. The indoor flooring scope covers 15,963 sq. ft. across the main area and the areas beneath the temporary wood structures in Units 5 and 6.
This is not a cosmetic surface update. It is a staged commercial flooring installation that combines removal, mechanical preparation, repairs, and a complete decorative protective system to create continuous, high-quality interior floors across multiple areas of the facility.
The specified solution is a full-broadcast Classic Stinger flake system built over properly prepared commercial concrete. After the removal of existing coatings and residues where required, the concrete is diamond-ground to a CSP3 surface profile. This mechanical profile provides the texture required for a resinous floor system to establish a strong bond to the slab.
Cracks and imperfections are prepared with Lab Surface CRACKFILLER polyurea/urethane repair material, then re-ground to create a consistent surface before coating. A tinted, 100% solids Lab Surface LABPOX_30 base coat is applied as the foundation of the decorative system.
Classic Stinger flakes are broadcast to full coverage across the prepared surface, creating a consistent multi-tone finish suited to a large commercial interior. The system is completed with a low-VOC Lab Surface LABFAST LO85 polyaspartic topcoat with fine aluminum oxide for improved slip resistance.
The resulting floor system is designed as a continuous, sealed commercial surface that brings together appearance, surface protection, and practical maintainability across the Stage 2 areas.
