Mississauga Commercial Indoor Flake Flooring - Phase 1

Epoxy Boss Inc. completed Phase 1 of a commercial interior flooring project for Ravin Commercial Design and Build Inc. at 2885 Argentia Road in Mississauga, Ontario. The scope covered 7,193 sq. ft. of commercial interior concrete and included the removal of old coating, glue, and tiling mortar before installation of a new full-broadcast decorative flake system.
The project required a preparation-first approach because existing materials can interfere with the performance of a new resinous floor system. PCD diamond tooling was used to mechanically remove the existing surface materials and expose a cleaner concrete substrate. From there, the floor was prepared through diamond grinding and CSP3 surface profiling, creating the mechanical texture required for proper coating adhesion.
This Phase 1 installation established a new continuous floor finish across a large commercial interior area. It forms part of a broader commercial flooring project at the same Mississauga address, continued in Stage 2.
The Phase 1 flooring system was built as a full-broadcast Classic Stinger flake floor over professionally prepared commercial concrete. Following removal of the old coating, adhesive, and tiling-mortar residues, Epoxy Boss diamond-ground the exposed concrete to a CSP3 profile.
Cracks and surface imperfections were prepared with Lab Surface CRACKFILLER polyurea/urethane repair material and re-ground to create a more consistent surface before coating. A tinted 100% solids Lab Surface LABPOX_30 base coat was applied as the foundation of the decorative system. Classic Stinger flakes were broadcast to full coverage, creating a multi-tone commercial floor finish across the 7,193 sq. ft. area.
The final layer was a low-VOC Lab Surface LABFAST LO85 polyaspartic topcoat with fine aluminum oxide for improved slip resistance. The completed floor provides a continuous, sealed, more maintainable surface for a commercial interior environment while giving the space a consistent, finished appearance.
