EPOXY BOSS
© 2026 Epoxy Boss — Concrete coating & surface prep
At Epoxy Boss, we believe a concrete coating system is only as reliable as the preparation beneath it. A high-performance floor is the result of proper concrete evaluation, mechanical surface preparation, premium coating materials, controlled installation procedures and strict quality control. Our flooring systems are engineered for Ontario conditions, where freeze-thaw cycles, road salt, winter meltwater, moisture vapour, hot tires and heavy daily use place continuous stress on concrete surfaces. Our objective is simple: complete every project correctly the first time so our clients never have to pay twice for the same work.
Most coating failures begin long before the coating is installed. Poor concrete preparation, acid etching instead of mechanical grinding, excessive moisture vapour, contaminated or salt-damaged substrates, improper crack repairs, incorrect material selection, installation outside the product's temperature range and poor installation practices are among the most common causes of peeling, delamination and premature failure. Every Epoxy Boss installation is designed to identify and reduce these risks before coating application begins.
Our process typically includes:
Every qualifying installation includes our Limited Workmanship Warranty. If a covered defect occurs during the applicable warranty period, Epoxy Boss will inspect the affected area and, if determined to be covered, repair or replace the affected portion of the flooring system at no charge for covered labour and materials. Warranty evaluations are performed without an inspection fee.
Qualifying indoor residential flooring systems include a 5-Year Limited Workmanship Warranty. Outdoor and commercial flooring systems include a 2-Year Limited Workmanship Warranty. Warranty periods begin on the date of substantial project completion and are subject to the terms, exclusions and limitations outlined in the Warranty Certificate provided to the client. Industrial and specialty systems may carry project-specific warranty terms.
Subject to the terms of this Limited Warranty, coverage includes adhesion failures and defects resulting directly from workmanship by Epoxy Boss, including peeling or delamination resulting from improper surface preparation, defects resulting from improper material handling during installation, and qualifying defects in coating materials supplied and installed by Epoxy Boss, subject to manufacturer limitations. Coverage applies only under normal intended use and when maintenance recommendations have been followed.
Excluded conditions include, but are not limited to:
A warranty period should not be confused with the expected lifespan of a professionally installed flooring system. When properly maintained, many residential garage flooring systems provide well over a decade of service. Actual performance depends on traffic, maintenance, environmental conditions, substrate quality, chemical exposure and intended use.
We recommend regular sweeping, damp mopping with pH-neutral cleaning products and prompt cleanup of spills. Through winter, rinse off salt residue regularly and wash the floor thoroughly in spring. Avoid abrasive pads, wire brushes, steel wool, harsh solvents and acid-based cleaners. Heavy equipment should be lifted rather than dragged, and protective pads should be used beneath concentrated point loads. Project-specific care instructions provided at completion take precedence over these general recommendations.
If you believe a condition may qualify for warranty coverage, please notify Epoxy Boss in writing as soon as reasonably possible, including the project address, photographs of the affected area and a description of the condition. We will schedule an inspection and, if the claim is approved, determine the appropriate repair method, which may include localized repair, partial replacement or other corrective measures.
The warranty is given for the finished floor and is transferable to subsequent owners of the property for the remainder of the warranty period.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable Ontario law, this Limited Warranty is limited to the repair or replacement of the affected coated area and does not cover incidental, indirect, special or consequential damages, including loss of use, lost profits, relocation expenses, damage to personal property or replacement of surrounding materials. Repaired areas may exhibit minor variations in colour, texture or gloss. Nothing in this warranty limits rights you may have under the Ontario Consumer Protection Act, 2002.
Certain coating materials may also be covered by separate manufacturer warranties, which are independent of this Limited Workmanship Warranty and subject to each manufacturer's own terms.
This page summarizes the Epoxy Boss Performance Assurance Program and Limited Warranty for general information only. Actual warranty coverage is governed exclusively by the signed project agreement, Completion Certificate and written Warranty Certificate issued for the specific installation.
