Oro-Medonte Garage Floor and Vertical Flake System

Epoxy Boss Inc. completed a residential garage floor and vertical wall coating project in Oro-Medonte, Ontario. The work included approximately 406 sq. ft. of garage flooring and 91 sq. ft. of vertical coated surfaces, creating a coordinated resinous finish throughout the space. The homeowner wanted a garage floor system that would look polished, be easier to maintain, and provide a durable surface for everyday residential use.
The project began with professional concrete preparation. Our team diamond-ground the garage floor, including surface imperfections, to create a CSP3 concrete profile for strong mechanical adhesion. Areas requiring attention were opened, cleaned, and prepared for compatible polyurea/urethane repair materials, while existing stress cuts were honoured as part of the floor layout.
In addition to the floor, the vertical concrete surfaces and two drywall sections beside the garage door were prepared and coated so the finished space would have a more complete, intentional appearance.
Epoxy Boss installed a full-broadcast Armadillo decorative flake system on the garage floor, along with matching flake finishes on the vertical wall surfaces. After mechanical preparation and repair work, we applied a tinted resinous base coat selected for the site conditions. Decorative Armadillo flakes were then broadcast to full coverage, creating a consistent multi-tone finish across the garage floor.
The system was completed with a low/zero-VOC polyaspartic topcoat containing fine aluminum oxide for improved slip resistance. For the vertical surfaces, our team hand-ground the concrete and prepared the adjacent drywall sections near the garage door before applying a coordinated base coat, matching flake blend, and polyaspartic topcoat.
The result is a seamless, cohesive garage environment with a durable floor, protected vertical surfaces, and a finish designed to be easier to clean and maintain than bare concrete.
