This project was completed at a high-traffic automotive production facility in Mississauga, where precision, durability, and safety were critical. The scope included industrial floor coating, concrete repairs, and safety line and field marking for assembly lines. The goal was to create a durable, clearly organized workspace that supports production efficiency and worker safety. This project involved several operational and technical challenges. The blueprints for line layout were inconsistent, requiring adjustments during execution. The facility remained active throughout the project, with ongoing shipments and multiple trades working simultaneously. The concrete surface varied across the space, with some areas requiring crack repair, pitting repair, and removal of embedded metal. Certain sections also required joint and stress cut filling. This was not just a coating project - it required precision, coordination, and adaptability.
Surface Preparation & Repairs
The entire floor was mechanically prepared using diamond grinding to achieve the proper surface profile. Cracks, pitting, and damaged areas were repaired to ensure a solid and uniform substrate before coating.
Specialized Equipment & Adaptation
Additional equipment was sourced during the project to handle joint filling and other technical requirements. The team adapted to site conditions and maintained workflow despite challenges.
Industrial Epoxy System
A solid epoxy coating system was applied in key areas to provide durability, chemical resistance, and long-term performance under industrial use.
Precision Line Marking
Safety and hazard lines were installed based on production layout requirements. Adjustments were made to ensure accuracy where blueprint inconsistencies existed. High-visibility markings were used to improve workflow and safety.
