About
Water-based urethane is a two-component polyurethane that uses water instead of solvents as its carrier. We use P-WU, available in matte or gloss, with a VOC content of 31 g/L. It dries quickly, develops early water resistance and releases no harmful odors, which makes it suitable for occupied buildings — schools, hospitals, offices, government facilities, museums and grocery stores. It bonds to existing hard coatings, resists chemicals and UV exposure without yellowing, and is typically used as a clear protective finish over decorative or solid-color systems.

- Heavy chemical exposure. Solvent-based polyurethane holds up better in labs and processing plants.
- Forklift and heavy industrial traffic. Choose a thicker, higher-build system for these floors.

Best suited to interior spaces. For pool decks and coastal exteriors we specify polyaspartic instead.
