How do I prepare the surface before applying epoxy?

Clean the surface thoroughly: Remove any dirt, dust, grease, or other contaminants using a broom, vacuum, or mop. For stubborn stains, use a degreaser or appropriate cleaning solution.
Repair any damage: Fill in cracks, holes, or uneven areas using a suitable epoxy patching compound or filler. Smooth out the patched areas and allow them to dry completely.
